A table of all the possible negotiation states, and their codes in the API.
State | Title | Description |
draft | Draft | The negotiation has been created but has not been sent to any counterparties. |
draft_approval_required | Draft - Approval required | The position is different to the preset that the negotiation has been created from, and this position must be approved before it can be sent out |
inviting | Sent / Received | The negotiation has been sent to a counterparty/has been received. |
awaiting_receiving_sub_account | n/a | This is an internal-only state on the receiver side where they have not yet registered an account. |
receiver_draft | Received | The invitation to negotiate has been received and unlocked by a user. |
receiver_draft_approval_required | Received - Approval required | The position is different to the preset selected by the receiver and must be approved before the elections can be confirmed |
amending | Negotiation | The negotiation is in progress |
election_approval_required | Approval required | The position is different to the previously approved position and must be approved before it can be sent to the other party |
confirmed | Confirmed | Both parties' answers match, and this side has confirmed the negotiation |
agreed | Agreed | All parties have confirmed the negotiation, and there are final document approvers for at least one party - the negotiation must be approved by all parties to continue |
execution_agreed | Execution (Review & Sign) | The document contents have been agreed by all parties, signature pages must be uploaded before execution is confirmed |
executed | Completed | The document has been executed and an executed version has been generated or uploaded |
cancelled | Cancelled | The negotiation has been cancelled |
confirmed_template | Confirmed template | The negotiation is a template for a custodian template which has been negotiated with the custodian, and can be used to negotiate |
